A plain explanation of what the current website and app do with information.
This introduction website
The introduction pages have no account form, email collection, advertising trackers or analytics cookies. They do not store your situation choices. The server processes connection information needed to deliver the page, including your IP address and request details, and can retain operational logs for security and troubleshooting. Following a download or provider link opens that service, where its own data handling applies.
Your account and what you add
In the app, we store your sign-in email, account settings, timezone, units and accepted document versions. You can choose to add weight, food, goals, check-ins, medication reminders and private notes. Tracking is optional. Your saved moments, reactions and viewing progress help you return to stories.
Meal estimates and photos
When you request a meal estimate, your photo and description are processed through OpenRouter and the model provider it routes to. Saving a meal saves its attached photo with your account. Your meals stay private unless you are the host and explicitly share an entry. Shared host meals, notes and photos are visible to signed-in members.
Confirmed meals and photos can wait on your device until they sync. Removing a photo or deleting its meal removes the active stored image; backups can retain older copies until they rotate. The JSON account export contains photo metadata, not image files.
Using the app in a browser
The app uses a secure sign-in cookie and stores private drafts, pending photos and account preferences in your browser so they can survive a reload or reconnect. This is separate from the introduction website. Clearing browser data can remove entries that have not reached your account yet. Sign out when using a shared device.
If you choose a phone camera link, the temporary link lets that phone send one meal photo to the signed-in app. It does not sign the phone in or reveal your diary. The link expires, and temporary transfer data is removed automatically. Only request an AI estimate or save the meal when you are ready to use that photo.
Optional daily steps
You can enter a daily step total or choose to connect step readings. The Android beta requests read access to Steps in Health Connect. We save daily totals, the source, calendar date, timezone and sync timestamps with your account. Raw health records are not uploaded.
Steps stay private unless the host explicitly chooses to share a day total with signed-in members. You can disconnect step syncing or manage device permissions at any time. Disconnecting stops future reads; previously saved daily totals remain in your account.
How matching uses information
We use the situation you choose, words you submit for matching, relevant check-in context and your app interactions to find published moments. Matching text may be processed through OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to. Creator audio and transcripts are also processed to organise videos. Private notes beside videos are stored for your own use and are not currently used for matching.
What private means here
Your personal diary entries and notes stay private unless the host explicitly shares a meal or daily step total with the community. Shared host records are visible to signed-in members. Private records are stored with your account. Authorised service operators and the providers involved in delivering the relevant feature may process information needed to operate it. Please do not put passwords or another person’s private information in notes or support reports.
Services involved
Resend handles sign-in emails for enabled test accounts. YouTube supplies the embedded player and processes playback information under its own policies. If push delivery is enabled, notification services receive the device information needed to deliver it. Our server stores the app’s account records and keeps operational logs and backups. Final operator, hosting and provider details are still being documented for release.
Usage and help requests
Inside the app, we record activity such as displayed recommendations, searches, video progress and reactions to understand whether matching works. A report you send includes your message, category, account and relevant app or video details shown by the report flow. Reports are reviewed by the team; they are not a live chat.
Your choices and account deletion
You can hide tracking highlights, change your goals, manage reminders, edit available diary entries and clear video reactions or private notes. Settings lets you export your account data or request account deletion.
Deletion removes active personal records and disconnects retained service events from your account. Backups can retain earlier copies until they are rotated. Deleting your app account does not delete information held independently by YouTube or other services you use.
Information on your device
Your device keeps a session, selected profile settings, cached content and entries waiting to sync. Pending entries belong to the account that created them. Signing out keeps that account’s unsent entries separate so they can be recovered when the same account returns. Account deletion clears that account’s local pending entries and cached profile. Review Pending entries if a save needs attention.
Retention and contact details still to finalise
The operator’s legal identity, dedicated privacy contact, hosting locations, exact retention periods and provider arrangements must be completed and reviewed before a wider public app release. During invited testing, use Help & feedback in the app for a data question, or the contact route through which your test was arranged.
